Salamat sa supporta! It has made me feel better to know a lot of you are cheering me on. Minsan amin ako na nakaka-pressure but when I see that a lot of you are with me on this I get pumped. I’m already quite excited for the second video. Are you? Any pointers? Any tulong?

Balik Eskwela si Peckson

Pinanod ko nung kahapon ang coverage of the burial of the late great President Cory Aquino. At habang I was watching ako ay nahit ng insprasyon. It was as if I felt yung lakas and drive to do this better. Andami isinacrifice ni Cory Aquino for our country. Kung pagtuto ng Filipino is one of the ways I can uphold her legacy, then ako ay taas nuo akong papayag and sisikap. Alam ko maliit. But it is a start. Salamat for the support. Let’s do this!

They keep saying I’m “bano” in Tagalog. Look, I know I’m not great at it, but I didn’t think I was that bad.

Well, not until I took this test.

How hard could it be, right? WRONG!

So this “quiz” was sort of an aptitude test (to torture and) to assess my basic vocabulary skills.

I got ONE correct answer. In a vocabulary test made for grade school students.

Fine. “Bano” it is. Baka naman pewede akong bigyan ng more than isang buwan to learn? Guys?

Ako si Mark Peckson. Pumayag ako to help Yabang Pinoy because I think language is a vital part of one’s heritage. Gusto ko naman talaga na matuto. It’s just that I never really had the chance to immerse myself. Ngayon sabe nila bigyan nila ako ng isang buwan to be eksperto in Filipino because Buwan ng Wika is well, isang buwan. It seems like a short time. But I’m here to give it all I’ve got. Kayanin talaga ko.
